We met up with Nikita Uggla, an actress who plays Felice Ehrencrona in the Netflix Original Series Young Royals. She grew up in Kivik in southern Sweden and after High School, Nikita moved to Stockholm to pursue her acting career. We spoke to her about how she first got in to acting and where she draws inspiration from when it comes to her clothing style.
How did you start your career in acting?
I started acting at a very young age back home in Skåne. I started doing musicals at the local theater in Österlen and then went on to study theater in high school. After graduating I moved to Stockholm and got my first real acting job as Felice in Young Royals.
It’s a Friday night. You and your friends decide to go to the local karaoke bar. What song do you choose to sing?
My go-to karaoke song is Listen by the one and only queen, Beyonce.
Who is / was the best dressed person in the world according to you?
I always felt like Lady Gaga pushes the boundaries and dares to be who she is in a way that is raw and authentic. That is something I respect and love.
Who knows you the best?
I would say that my boyfriend or my mom knows me the best.
Where do you draw inspiration when choosing what to wear?
I get a lot of fashion ideas and inspiration from people around me and then do my own personal spin on it. But honestly sometimes I just wear clothes that I love just to piss people off.
You’re playing one of the main characters in the Netflix show Young Royals, Felice Ehrencrona. What are some of the experiences that this acting role has brought you?
Something I’ve experienced as Felice is how it is to be a teenager with a totally different background than mine. I feel like that has given me a whole new perspective on people.
What was your first job?
My first job was working at our family-owned ice cream kiosk back home in Skåne.
During this past summer you walked your first fashion show ever, in Copenhagen as a Ganni Girl. What was that like?
This summer was crazy, but crazy fun. To do the Ganni fashion show was a dream come true that I didn’t even know I had before I did it. It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done, and it made me fall in love with fashion in a whole new way.
